Life and Death
I found this tombstone engraved “here lie the body of Samuel Fry who departed this Life”. They got it right. He departed this life to live in Heaven with Jesus. “To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord”. Many are afraid of death.
We who are Christians do not have to fear death. It is urgent for us to lead as many to Jesus as possible before Jesus comes back.
VBS June 17-19, 2026
Kevin was King Kross for the VBS. It was 3 days long and 35 children gave their lives to Jesus. Elaine used a puppet and was the Queen. Rev. Dub was the bad guy for the first time. He was the Jester tempting my son Prince Christopher, but my daughter Princess Isabelle helped her brother resist temptation. The children helped King Kross run off the Jester by shouting the name of Jesus. Vicky did a great job pulling people together and working with Angie who coordinated the food. Many others helped with games, crafts, setup and teardown… Many thanks to everyone!

Christian Assembly and Ross Family Ministries has set up a back to school Back-Pack outreach for August 15th to help kick off the new school year. At that event they will be invited to attend a puppet show on August 16th at Christian Assembly Church. Please pray the families will come. The toughest thing is getting parents to bring themselves and their kids to church. RFM Story Hour will resume in the neighborhood on Tuesday, Aug 18, 2026.
